Designing staircase that are more than functional structures spanning between floors can be a challenge. Usually they just consume valuable space that designers can’t really do anything with. They disrupt level flow and are rarely pleasing to the eye. However, there are ways to make staircases more interesting, even focal points by incorporating a tall art sculpture that spans between floors and adds a dimension of interest as you trudge up and down the stairs. These very same stairs even allow you to view the sculpture from multi-viewing angles that you can’t do standing at floor level.
Here are a few projects that incorporate our custom lighting sculptures that have transformed staircaes into multi-level viewing platforms of decorative interest and even entertainment.
